well stocked kitchen and very very clean.
We had a fantastic stay at this beach house! It was the perfect setup for our family, especially with young kids and our dog . The house was clean, spacious, and had a very welcoming, family-friendly vibe. The yard was fenced and safe, which gave us peace of mind while the kids played and the dog roamed freely. The views were absolutely stunning—sunrises with coffee on the deck were a daily highlight. The sunsets were equally breathtaking, and we loved being able to relax with a view even when we weren’t down on the sand. The only downside—is that beach access was a bit farther than we expected. It’s definitely walkable, but not super convenient if you're carrying a lot of gear or have little ones who tire easily. Its about a 200 yard walk just to the public beach access, even though the house is less than 50 yards from the beach across the sand dunes That said, everything else more than made up for it.
Lives up to its name. My thanks to the owners for renting their house.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. The location is great and the house packs a lot of amenities. Ocean views and deck access from the den/kitchen and every bedroom, nice and plentiful deck seating to take in the ocean views, a spacious and well-stocked kitchen, elevator access to all floors, pet-friendly, hot tub and fenced in backyard make this property one of the better places we’ve stayed in during our many visits to North Topsail Beach. The beach access is just a short walk away. Definitely recommend Topsail Beach Tranquility!
The primary aspects of this property are very good. The location is great. The house is newer with good amenities. The furniture is nice and it was mostly very clean. But just below all the superficial stuff, there were a number of issues that made our stay less enjoyable. Nowhere in the listing does it say that there's no direct beach access and there's no reason at all to think otherwise (listed as beachfront/oceanfront/beach access). You have to walk about 200 yards to cross the dune. We had a person with limited mobility so this was a major issue and a real disappointment. In general, the upkeep for many aspects of this being a rental did not seem to get any attention. The closet in the primary had a variety of things (mop/bucket, high chair, play pen, step ladder) literally piled in heap blocking the use of the closet. This was the same in the equipment closet down by the entry. Just piles of broken down and rusty gear. The beach equipment referenced in the listing was largely not usable. The chairs were broken and piled by the driveway. There were a couple of usable ones in the storage room, but they were rusty and generally dilapidated. The bin for beach gear that was on the deck had a broken chair part, a sad little shovel, discarded plastic bags, and a single little plastic bucket. There were also some issues with the cleanliness beyond the superficial. The Kurieg water reservoir had mold in it, for example. There were weeds getting out of control giving the property a generally rundown look and feel. Also, the listing says there is cable TV, but there's not. Only antenna-based TV and LG TV over the wifi. This was also a major issue for our mobility-limited person. The kitchen also was not supplied with some items you might expect in a vacation rental (no foil or wrap, for example). Overall we enjoyed ourselves. The deck was great and the elevator was very helpful. Lots of room to improve this property, though, and updating the listing to be more accurate on the beach access, cable, and usable beach equipment would go a long way.
My sister and I stayed last week during Hurricane Erin and had a great time. There were several little issues but VACASA staff quickly responded and resolved them. The house was great, every room has deck access and ocean view. The elevator was handy. The beach stair access is maybe 75 yards away, super easy. I did feel the basic amenities were very limited compared to experiences I've had with other properties. That being said, I'd still stay here again.
