Floors were disgustingly dirty

The condo is in an excellent location and the view is top notch. The closest I have ever felt to the ocean from a balcony. The resort overall is dated but the pool, beach, coffee shop, and amenities more than make up for it. The condo itself really needs some updating and a few small improvements such as blind replacements and a new coffee pot could go a long way. It worked just fine for our party of 7 though.

Let me first start off by saying this wasn’t the unit we booked when we planned to come to Topsail. A few hours before checking into our original unit, we were notified it was destroyed by the previous tenants. Vacasa offered us a refund or to stay one night at the St. Regis and then the rest of the week at another unit. We were already down here, so we took their relocation offer even though it moved it multiple times. The St. Regis unit was awful. They clearly didn’t clean it. I noticed crumbs and chips on the carpet and the floors felt almost sticky. The furniture was stained and ratty. Then I looked up and noticed something black and the air vent, and then down the wall. I got close enough just to confirm what it was. It was BLACK MOLD!!! It was on the vent and coming down the wall. I notified Vacasa immediately. They said they would have a specialist reach out. I checked other vents in the unit and others also had mold. We have now moved into our new unit, and still no one has contacted me about the mold!!

Completely disgusted at how filthy the unit was upon checking in. The front door was covered in black mildew and floors were gross. I wrote Vacasa and by 3 days they sent someone to clean the front door. We even found trash under beds from previous renters.

The home was spacious and close to the beach. I loved hearing the ocean from the balcony.

Condo needed updates. Wasn’t the cleanest. Bed’s weren’t great, but not horrible. Rust on light and toilet paper holder in second bathroom. No counter in primary bathroom(totally understand is an accessible bathroom, but nowhere to get ready). Just overall, wasn’t my favorite place we’ve stayed in North Topsail. This was our 16th visit and we likely won’t rent this one again.
