NTB2756 The Kraken

We loved our stay here; the ocean views from the home are wonderful, the home is lovely with everything you need and the beach in North Topsail is always amazing. We highly recommend staying here, one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed in.

The bones of the home itself are great and it has the appeal of being ocean front with a great view of the ocean from the balconies. It was well stocked but that’s about where it ends for the positives. The home is quite literally infested with roaches, crickets and ants. I wish it were possible to post pictures as I have multiple pictures from our stay of various creatures creeping around on the floors and walls, from the entryway to the bedrooms and the kitchen. Everyday was a game of where’s Waldo with the creature of the day. I reached out to Vacasa.. you may ask how they chose to remediate this problem. I’ll happily tell you, a DIY method of dropping us off a can of ant and roach spray for us to solve the problem ourselves without informing us that was what was expected of us. Because nothing says home away from home like being an exterminator for someone else’s home that you’re paying a hefty dime for. We obviously didn’t feel comfortable with this as we were unsure of the liability of using it with the possibility of it damaging the finish of the floors, walls or countertops. I reached out to Vacasa expressing my disappointment with their “solution” and was ignored. The WiFi is only reachable on devices on the uppermost floor the televisions on the lower floor worked occasionally. Various broken furniture was noted upon arrival as well. Outdoor patio furniture with broken legs propped up against the railing, broken bookcase and the solar lights that were all knocked down when we arrived (this isn’t important but more or less painting a picture of what to expect) bottom dollar experience came with a undeserving price tag.

We just finished our 3rd stay here and it was great. The house is clean and well stocked. Each bedroom has access to its own full bathroom which is great. There is plenty of extra linen in case you have couch sleepers. All of the appliances work well. The coffee maker is Keurig type so cone prepared with pods. The ocean view from the balconies is nice and the walk to the beach is short and easy. The beach access is a ramp instead of stairs in case you are bringing a beach wagon. Things to note: there are 33 stairs in total from the ground to the upstairs; can be hard if someone has mobility issues or lots of small kids in tow. Also the wifi doesn’t connect well in the downstairs Master bedroom so you can’t really watch TV in there. Would still recommend this house and plan to stay here in the years to come

The house was super clean! Great location! Close to the beach! We will be going back! Wonderful vacation! Vacasa was excellent to deal with as well.

House was very clean . Lots of room great for kids we had our 4 grandbabies ages 2 to 8. Pretty view and easy walk to the beach . The only thing to be aware of is the stairs in the house . You can get a workout! Would definitely stay again!

House was clean and in a good location. Would definitely recommend and would go back for another stay.
