ABPAB164 A Place at the Beach 351

Well I would love to give a wonderful review on this place but sadly I honestly can't. I will start with the good. The beds slept amazingly!!! The couch was very comfortable. Lord knows you will need the comfortable beds after all the walking you will have to do at this place. If you are disabled, hurt your foot like I had. I was in a boot for that. Or have trouble walking a long distance. This place is NOT for you!!! You will do a ton of walking because the elevator was at the opposite end of the building. I could not do the three flights if stairs because it made my foot hurt even more. There was a couple of times that I had to. The room had really comfortable beds. The couch was just as comfortable. The bathroom that had the tub shower had a constant leak. From the looks of it it had been leaking for a good while. Called vacasa and they came in and fixed that. You couldn't control the temperature of the water in the shower. It was either to hot or to cold. No in between. So we all had to use the other shower. The table in the living room was so wobbly that we were scared to touch it that it would fall apart. There was no containers in the kitchen to put food in so we had to buy them. I left them there so others could use them. The washer and dryer did not work. The dryer hose wasn't connected to anything. When you open the door to the washer and dryer you couldn't open the soap thing because of the door. When we opened the washer it smelt like death. Stunk so bad we had to open the doors to air out the place. With that being said we had to lug all the clothes back downstairs or through the 4 or 5 corridors to get to the elevator. This place was a last resort us and will remain that...a last resort!!! If you have any health issues that you can't do lots of walking this is not a place for you. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Vacasa was good at working with us on when they could come out to stop the leak. They have always been wonderful to work with.

Access to pool ,beach ,ect..

The home needs some improvements and it was not very clean. There was visible dust on many surfaces. When we arrived, the master toilet was clogged and looked as though it hadn’t even been cleaned because there was black speckles in it and a toilet ring. The plunger was broke and my husband had to go buy one from Walmart. When I contacted Vacasa upon arrival because it seemed the toilet was broke- they told me maintenance had already left for the day and it would have to be the next day. The toilet paper holder was broken, and the main bathroom the faucet leaked the entire time and had corrosion on the faucet downspout. The washer has mildew in it and the dryer did not dry clothes. The couch wasn’t even connected on one side so you couldn’t sit on that side. When I pulled the comforter back in the master bedroom there was hair in the sheets. I really enjoyed staying at “A Place at the Beach” resort, but I would not choose this condo again.

This was our third year at A Place at the Beach and our second in this specific unit. It is by far our favorite community that we have stayed at on Atlantic Beach. The amenities are the best and everything is well cared for and maintained. We will continue to stay here in the future.

We love A place at the beach! There is a lot to keep our young children busy, and the pools are lovely. This was our first year in this room. The wifi was non existent in Room 351. After receiving an email that Charter would be on site to fix it, there were no results. I messaged Vacasa and called, and was met with general "reset the modem" responses. We eventually found that the modem in the room didn't even have a power cord attached to it, notified Vacasa, and no one came or responded to rectify the situation. Having wifi in the room for downtime is almost essential, especially when you're met with a heat wave, and can't keep kids outside all day. This was disappointing, to say the least. We may book again, but will not book this room.

We loved the amenities of this place and how accurate the description was to reality.
