A wonderful home and property!

First, the house is beautiful. The owners obviously love their home and are kind to open it to guests. We chose this property for a main reason that it had an elevator bc we have handicapped family members. However, we were very disappointed when the elevator broke within an hour or so when we arrived. The maintenance man came and reset the breaker which gave us about 3 more rides before the elevator broke again. The maintenance man came back out and came to the conclusion there was nothing he could do and needed the expert. After speaking with the maintenance man, he said he would be back with the expert the next morning. Therefore, we and I were all under the impression that the maintenance man and elevator expert were to be there the following morning. The maintenance man was not there until 4ish in the afternoon without the expert. The maintenance guy came by to again said he needed an expert who would then be there in the morning. After a back and forth between me and the maintenance man, I was told the expert eas not going to leave a 30,000 job for a 200 paycheck. Given that information, the information was known to Vacasa the day we got there yet never communicated to us. Instead, we were continually stung along that on that the expert would be there next morning, then the next…as if the elevator would actually get fixed while we were there. This is a problem that could have been communicated at the time of the second problem. The maintenance man and Vacasa knew then issue and knew the expert would never come yet wasted hours of my time along with time with my family. Needless to say, the elevator never was fixed the entire time we were there.

Right on the beach, big space, cleanliness

House is beach front at a great location in Pine Knolls Shore. Best views from the deck where you can be under the roof or in the open to see the stars. We've been going there and staying at this house for > 15 years and part of the reason we've done so is we can't find a better place for our family's annual beach week. Can't beat the location and the VACASA management was very responsive to urgent needs.
