ABPAB169 A Place At The Beach 322

We arrived at 7:15pm. Gate code provided was wrong. Terrible lighting and signage on campus, took 30 mins to determine where condo was located. No MAP was provided in email. After hours mailbox code provided wrong.

We loved the stay and amenities especially the putt putt, indoor pool, and nice area to walk around and Ofcourse the beach access. The room was great for two adults and two kids but definitely recommend for kids under 10. It was a great time for a short visit. The kids loved the aquarium and fort Macon and Ofcourse ab ice cream.

sitting on the balcony provided a great view, condo was pretty clean but the whole building could use some cleaning and updating. It is certainly not the easiest interior to get around but I think if we'd been there a little longer we'd have figured it out. The pool was beautiful and I loved all the amenities that were available but we were sadly not able to use. The location was nice as it wasn't far to get to Atlantic Beach or Fort Macon, even Beaufort! I would be happy to stay there again.

This had the most amazing view. It was clean and decorated nice. We will definitely come back to this one.

​Our family had a very mixed experience at A Place At The Beach, Unit 322. While we cherish the family time we had and appreciate some specific instances of helpfulness from the staff, we cannot overlook the serious health and safety issues we encountered with the unit itself. ​The Positives: ​The location and access to the beach and pool were great for our family. ​When our young daughter accidentally locked herself in a room, the staff responded quickly to help us get her out, which we were very grateful for. ​The management was also understanding when we misplaced a key during the stressful events. ​The Major Issues: The primary problem was the unacceptable and unsanitary condition of the unit upon arrival. The bedding in the children's bunk room was clearly unwashed. I will never forget removing my son's pillowcase to find the pillow covered in greasy, golden-yellow head stains from a previous guest. The bedding hadn't been changed and debris and hairs lay on top of the covers and all through the sheets. ​This cleanliness issue quickly became a health crisis. After the first night, both of our young children began developing severe and painful bug bites. Our daughter's reaction was particularly alarming, requiring medical attention. ​To their credit, after we reported these issues, management did send a team the following day to fully clean the unit and replace the mattress covers. We appreciated this response, and we can confirm that no new bites occurred after the cleaning. ​However, the damage was already done. The most upsetting part is that weeks after our stay, our daughter's bites from that first night are still not fully resolved, and she remains on two different medications to manage the reaction. ​Summary: No family on vacation should have to deal with unsanitary conditions that result in physical harm to their children. While we acknowledge that management acted to clean the unit the next day, this does not erase the initial failure to provide a safe environment or the ongoing health consequences for our child. Because of this, we cannot recommend this property to other families.

We really enjoyed our stay at APATB room 322! This was not our original booked condo, but Vacasa was up front with needing to change our reservation (due to no power in our original unit) and it was a perfect upgrade! We loved the oceanfront view for coffee and night sitting! The amenities are fantastic and we loved the not crowded beach, pool and family atmosphere! The putt putt was a fun end of day activity! The room looked exactly like photos and had plenty of cooking utensils, plates, cups, kitchenware, etc. The frying pans could use an update as the nonstick surface is pretty scratched. The shampoo and conditioner, soap, and kitchen soap was provided. Would suggest to bring paper plates and napkins. The bunk room was great for our young kids- the partition wasn’t ideal, but worked fine for tired kids at the end of the day and still allowed us to watch tv! Had some AC issues the last night, and brought up to Vacasa to look in to. Def recommend this unit for a cozy place to stay.
