My husband and I have been renting this cottage for the last 30 years and things have not changed much in that length of time. There was some updates probably 10 years ago to the upstairs bathroom and the kitchen and a new sofa last year. Other than that they still have the same old furniture and lamps and decor. I think the same comforter is on the upstairs bed. There is some leaking going on in the upstairs bedroom…probably because the shingles are missing on that part of the roof. The deck is always full of sand and the chairs are sandy too. I guess all the sand on the deck comes from where the outside shower does not have enough pressure to wash the sand off when you come from the beach. My husband goes out there every year and sweeps off the deck and wipes down the chairs. Isn’t that part of the rental and shouldn’t that be cleaned by housekeeping? Yes the cottage is oceanfront but it is not ocean view if you are planning to sit on the deck and enjoy the ocean. The dunes have gotten so much larger than the pictures you are showed on the website. So if you have knee issues or have trouble walking this may not be the cottage for you. Also the description has a swing on the deck. There is not a swing and has not been one there for years. Yes the price of the rental is not as high as some on the “oceanfront” but you get what you pay for.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Everything was clean, short walk to the beach, nice porch with plenty of chairs and two rockers. The dryer was not working; they were there two days trying to get it fixed, so I would check to make sure that it is working before you go. A dryer is a big necessity! We even received a little refund for the inconvenience, very nice to work with. We will definitely book this place again!

The kitchen was very large and clean. New couch was put in I noticed and overall was pleasantly surprised by the home and would book again.

IT DIDN'T HAVE VERY MANY STAIRS ON THE OUTSIDE.

The only thing nice about the home was that it was beachfront, however you couldn’t view the beach through the Sand Dunes but easy access. The home had black mold in the living room ceiling and upstairs vents. You couldn’t leave anything sitting around unless you were willing to share it with the ants. There was also giant cockroaches! Also Beware the back door lock didn’t lock!

House was great, great location, our kids had a blast, only thing that needs to be addressed is the living room furniture we noticed mid week when we had a relax day that the living room furniture had a smell it was older furniture we informed Vacasa the had a company come clean it, but other than that we had a blast!!!
