ABCT03 Bullard Cottage

We enjoyed being close to the ocean and walking distance to night life. Will consider staying here again.

We had a great time at The Bullard Cottage. The cottage was clean, comfortable, full of character, and well stocked. The location was ideal within a very short walk to the beach, numerous restaurants, and shops.

The internet and TV did not work the entire time. We were looking forward to watching March Madness basketball during our stay. The management company promised to send someone to fix the internet/TV. We were even told that property caretaker Calis was on the way. Nobody ever showed. The floor in the front downstairs bathroom and laundry area feels unstable. When you step out of the shower it feels the floor is going to give at any time.

We loved the close proximity to both the beach and Morehead city. Location was perfect for our needs. It was quaint and cute, albeit a bit cold—but I can tell the house is older construction and maybe not as insulated as newer homes. Many of the doors would not stay closed, and knobs were very loose almost like they would fall out of the door. These are all little quirks that come with an older home, so we didn’t really mind it and still enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was well stocked and accommodated our cooking needs well. I will mention that many of the glasses came straight from the cabinet needing a hand wash before use as they had lip marks on the sides. Not a HUGE deal, but worth noting so that the cleaning crew may pay more attention when cleaning the kitchen. Overall, we enjoyed our little weekend getaway, and would book this location again.
