I loved very little about this home or the communication with the management company prior to the stay . On my reason I booked this property is because of the boat lift , we have a 22 ft boat , I asked prior to coming to the home about use of boat lift and this was miscommunicated to me , in fact the owner thought we broke the lock to the boat lift controls , we did not later found out the lock was dry rotted . We tied our boat up to the dock which ended up being a bad idea as it is near a wake zone and the boat was getting beat up by the dock. We were also accused of ruining the 8 white towels that came with the home for use over a period of six days with six people . To start the towels were dingy . In fact there wasn’t much that wasn’t dingy about this rental . It smelled like old wood upon entering . It was hard to keep cool because of the sunroom with no air conditioner vents . Under the beds and couches were dirty and the sheets were stained . No access to washing machine or dryer at a near beach location is absurd . It seems as this home may be better suited for long term rentals as the neighborhood has signs out discouraging short term rentals and the home was not very well equipped for families or young adults . I honestly wish the management company would have been upfront about the amenities (really very Minimal , a hotel would have been better ) as I would have found a property that was boat and kid friendly . This is half mile walk to the beach and it literally comes with no beach accessories not even boat towels , there wasn’t even bathroom rugs . I would not recommend staying here I was very disappointed with the place and surprised with the lack of care and supplies offered . Don’t be fooled by thinking it’s waterfront home , it’s on the bay not the gulf and it’s very deceiving to post pictures of amenities that are not accessible to the guest.
The view out back of the intercoastal was gorgeous and the house had good water pressure. Kitchen equipped nicely -but old old old.
The location and being on the water was amazing. The rest not so much. There's not enough towels, toilet paper, and you only have access to the washer and dryer if you stay for at least 2 weeks. It's a corporate run rental, so don't expect any human element to your rental, only what they can make you pay. The place smells like a museum because it hasn't been updated in what feels like 50 years. They most likely painted the walls and called it updated with modern amenities.
Wonderful stay. Beautiful and very comfortable house. Great location. My suggestion for improvement would be umbrellas and beach chairs for guests. Also allow the use of the washing machine for guests staying less than 7 days. The day we arrived, the suite bathroom had a lot of insects on the walls and floor. Rating 8.7 for this accommodation.
We loved sitting on the boat deck watching the wildlife. The house was an older and funky but comfortable we enjoyed our stay and would stay again
I loved the space, location and the water in the back.
