Family-friendly beach cottage w/deck, screened porch, grill

This property was perfect for my family beach vacation this year. We have stayed at several properties in Folly Beach, and I think this one was the best. Other reviews mention the doors and windows not being perfect, but most reasonably priced vacation properties have their imperfections. I would rather mention what we loved about the house. The front porch was very relaxing and offered some quiet space for anyone who wanted to take a break from the back deck, where we spent most of our time while not sleeping or hanging out on the beach. The bar area, the firepit, and the private outdoor shower were great to use. We made the most of all of them. It was nice to have a quality grill to use as well. This property also had some beach equipment available such as chairs, an umbrella, and miscellaneous other items. They weren’t in new condition or anything, probably left behind by other guests, but it was so nice to not have to buy or rent everything. Most of the vacation rentals seem to get rid of such things left behind. I would absolutely check availability on this property next time we visit Folly.

This house was perfect! So close to everything. The response from the team at Vasca was impeccable. My 4 boys and I all gave our vacation a 10!! Thank you for sharing this treasure! We loved the deck, front porch and easy access to everything! The beds were so comfortable too!!

Location

We recently stayed at a Sea Salt Cottage on Folly Beach and had a really good time. The house itself is a bit outdated and has kind of awkward doors, but it was still comfortable and worked well for our trip. What really made it stand out was the big deck area with the outdoor TV—it was the perfect spot to relax in the evenings after spending the day on the beach. The location couldn’t have been better. It was just a short walk to the beach, which made it super easy to go back and forth throughout the day. Even though the house wasn’t the most modern, it had a laid-back, beach vibe that we enjoyed. Overall, we’d definitely stay again for the location and the outdoor space.

We had a wonderful time here. It was less than a minute walk to the beach. The deck, front screened in porch, and outdoor shower were a big hit. The inside of the cottage was very cozy & homey feeling. With that being said the walls are not thick & you have hear everything that is going on around your room. I recommend trying Rita's Seaside Grill on the main strip. Their loaded nachos were amazing. Don't forget to check out the lighthouse while you are here. It's a long walk to it but worth it. Overall, I give our stay a 4.5 out of 5.
