Recently updated bungalow with pool & spa dog friendly, short walk to beach

My wife and I have been coming to Folly Beach for 15 years. This was by far our favorite rental property of all the places we have stayed at previously. This year happened to be our 50th wedding anniversary. We could not have asked for a more perfect house in which to celebrate it! Our adult sons, their wives and our grandsons were also in Folly Beach at a different location a couple miles away but ended up spending almost every afternoon at "papa's" pool. The pool in particular was amazing. But the location, landscaping in the backyard, the hammock, the front porch, the kitchen etc....everything was perfect and well maintained. We definitely plan on coming back next year. Thanks again. Well done!!

Nice place, great pool/spa, and yard. Cleaning leaves something to be desired, especially since they refused us even a moment of early check-in, apparently because the cleaners needed the entire day to clean. I appreciate the pet-friendly aspect, but there was still dog hair everywhere, so if you don't have a pet prepared, be aware of that. The sofa bed was proper gross when we opened it up, but luckily, there was an extra comforter to lay over the dirty sheets on it. Also would have been nice to have more than one pot's worth of coffee. Overall, a nice place, just sort of lacking a bit considering the cost.

This is the best dog friendly house on the island!! We had so much fun and we will be back at this house next year.

This house was perfect for us, our 10-year old twins, and dog. It was super clean, well-cared for, with tons of amenities to keep us entertained rain or shine. We enjoyed the pool, outdoor dining, and lots of front porch time during thunderstorms (where we took advantage of the board games provided!). The beach is about a two minute walk away. We would highly recommend this place!

The sea urchin is an adorable two bedroom cottage style home one block from Folly Beach. It has an in-ground pool in the backyard that was truly an amenity. We spent so much time in the backyard because of the privacy and how lovely the pool was. The home is outfitted with everything you need. The beach is an easy two minute walk which makes it great for having a quick bite to eat at home and being able to go back to the beach. The location of the home is close to the downtown area as well. We took several walks during the week to the pier and were able to have lunch at the restaurants without having to find a place to park. The location is truly convenient. We loved staying there and will definitely go back.

This was our third year at the Sea Urchin, and it’s always wonderful!
