View from screen porch of ever changing beach walkers and surfers sail boards and boats..all a person needs for a vacation..being in a quiet neighborhood at night away from it all a big plus..covered parking...easy hose for rinsing sandy feet...it was all well appointed do you do not have to worry about a thing..plenty of room for everybody..no need to have a fancy mansion when all you need is a safe and comfortable accommodations

Our family has stayed in Back Home for years - it is such a special place!

This house was perfect for our little 'staycation'! We live on James Island, and wanted to escape to our favorite beach for the week without having to worry about loading up the stuff, the commute, the food, the bathrooms, etc...and we didn't want to break the bank to do so. This was the perfect little rustic beach house with all the ingredients for a wonderful low-key getaway. We cooked, we puzzled, we spent hours on the beach, we relaxed on the screen porch, we had friends visit...we had a true vacation. Everything we needed was right there, and daily visits to Bert's provided any impromptu items/food/etc. very conveniently. Short bicycle ride (or golf cart, which we brought along) to shops and restaurants, and just far enough down the beach to avoid the large crowds closer to the pier. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

As expensive, huge houses replace older, smaller houses, it is hard for a single family to find an affordable house ON the beach. This house is no-fuss and no-frills, but perfect for our family’s needs. The porch allows you to be beachside without leaving the house. Beach access is easy (though the private access advertised doesn’t reach the beach; protected dunes are at the boardwalk terminus). We spent the week reading, playing games, and enjoying the ocean. If you require fancy decor or super-plush furniture, look elsewhere, but this is beach living for the rest of us.

Great location! The streets are congested on Saturday but clear out during the week. The golf cart parking at the local businesses is much more convenient. Recommend a golf cart. Bring your own beach gear. New charcoal grill at the house. Our family of 4 enjoyed the house and Folly Beach and recommend both!
