Charming home with enclosed porch, WiFi, & central AC - walk to beach and shops

We had an amazing time at this home! The sunroom was a highlight, perfect for playing games and just relaxing. Each bedroom had super comfy beds, and I especially appreciated that all the bedside tables were equipped with both plugs and USB ports—such a thoughtful touch! While we didn’t cook much, it was a shame because the kitchen was fantastic and fully stocked with everything you could need. But honestly, the location couldn’t have been better. The house is just steps away from the beach access, which made morning walks and sunsets a breeze. Plus, it's right next door to a great restaurant/bar with live music and delicious food. We also loved that Center Street, Folly's main street with plenty of shops and restaurants, was only a block away. Highly recommend for anyone looking to be close to all the action while enjoying a cozy, comfortable stay

Wonderful visit on the beach, or just steps from the beach! When you walk in, you walked into a brightly colored spacious room, and each room is dedicated to the person staying there, with plenty of room and plenty of stuff

Great Location

Our original reservation through VRBO was canceled one week before our family trip to Charleston SC/Folly Beach due to "pests" and we were rebooked at this property. While I appreciate the effort to rebook us using another vacation rental service versus just canceling our already paid for trip, this replacement property was lacking. We were given only two options, this property "Beaches Be Crazy" and another property that was far too small for our party of 6. "Beaches be Crazy" is next to a rocking bar - Loggerheads. This would be fine if this was like a singles trip or a girls trip, but we had children who needed sleep and my parents who are in thier 70's sometimes prefer to go to bed before 11pm. All three bedrooms back up directly to the loud bar patio. Upon first walking into the property there is a very strong mildew smell. The front porch was dirty with a worn and sticky thrift store table and several mis- matched dining chairs. The living room furniture was in good condition and not stained. The three beds had really hard mattresses that were covered by a plastic mattress protector and then 1 thin sheet so it felt like we were sleeping on a ziplock bag that was hot and uncomfortable all week. The kitchen is tiny, with mildewed rotting sink cabinet and sticky painted and dated cabinet doors. The "powder bath" off the laundry room also smelled like mildew and there was what looked like rust on the wall and corner next to the shower stall. An upside was the nice washer and dryer which we did utilize and the property was well stocked with plenty of complimentary laundry pods, bath towels and toilet paper and trash bags. The property is also located one block from the beach, with easily walking access. Overall, if I was on a girls trip or with younger adults AND this property was renovated- I might stay there again. As it stands I feel like we paid way too much for a very mediocre property. My sisters stayed at an adorable condo at 108 E Hudson Ave, Folly Beach, SC 29439 that was WAY nicer with a tiny private pool and I would have gladly paid a little more for a better quality stay.
