The beach house was spacious and had everything we needed with the exception of the refrigerator not working. Great location to access the beach! Screened room and rooftop deck were an added bonus!
We got in late Wednesday. We stopped at a grocery store for breakfast items and a few other things we needed for the next day. We had trouble finding the house - it was already dark, there is not much light from the streetlights, and so we walked around looking for the address before finding it. Maybe somewhere other than just the mailbox would be helpful. We pulled into the driveway - which I don't know if the street was recently paved or what - but there is a large curb which made my rental bottom out coming into the driveway. The instructions that were texted to me said the keys were in a lockbox at the top of the stairs to the right. We looked all over. We checked the stairs to the left looking for a lockbox. I responded to the text saying we couldn't find the lockbox and was again told the stairs to the right. Finally we found it on the stairs to the left. Perhaps a keypad would be a better option. We got inside, unloaded our groceries, put our stuff away, and went to bed after a long day of travel. The next morning, we realized the fridge wasn't working. I texted the number on the fridge. No response for over 2 hours. I texted the number that had given me entry instructions and was told they were working with the local team on the fridge, and that the number in the house wasn't the one I was supposed to text. Perhaps the signs on the fridge need updated. Later that day we bought a cooler with ice because we still had no update on the fridge. The next morning (our 2nd full day), a man came by and confirmed the fridge was not working. I was contacted that afternoon by Linda and our rental cost was reduced, and then when we got back that evening a cooler was there with bags of ice, so that was nice at least. I think this place has a nice location, and a lot of potential, but obviously there are some things, outside of the fridge issue, that I think would be beneficial, just from my experiences at other rentals. Including a keypad at the doors, and cleanup from a communication standpoint. One other thing I noticed was there was laundry mentioned and detergent provided but we were never able to locate a washer and dryer. If they were in the basement no instructions on how to locate were provided.
We loved the home, it was the perfect size and met all of our needs. We loved the short walk to the beach and the neighborhood was lovely. Loved the local restaurants and beautiful area. We definitely want to go back!
Good access to the beach via the rear of the property. Just a block.
We liked the location of the Carolina Blvd 128 home. The beds are comfortable and the home is very clean. The kitchen is adequate but not fancy. All of the appliances were in good condition. The air condition works well, but we found that the primary bedroom and bathroom were colder than the other bedrooms. There was a strong blowing of cold air towards the bed and the bathroom was very cold. When we turned down the air the other bedrooms were a bit too warm. The porches are wonderful. The sliding door to the porch from the living room was very tough to close. Ocean view is a bit of an overstatement. You can get a peak of ocean through and between other homes. Vacasa was great to work with! The direct text line was responsive and helpful.
Really enjoyed our visit, especially the screened porch with rockers & swing! It’s a bit like being in a tree house! Top deck was great to soak up sun, even on chilly days.
