We spent the majority of our time on the lanai, especially first thing in the morning and late at night. We loved watching all the wildlife. The alligators were a big attraction. The sound of the fish jumping after dark was quite interesting. The location is ideal; short walk to the beach, plenty of parking available, and very little traffic going by. Great area for biking too. We've stayed here 4-5 times -- keep coming back.
We loved spending time on the screened in porch watching the birds and alligators. We were welcomed the first night with a beautiful rainbow and gorgeous sunset. Since this visit was so short we opted not rent bikes. The walk to the beach was short and allowed us still see wildlife on the way. We would stay there again.
So, my wife and I love South Carolina. This is the 1st time we stayed in Kiawah. This island is gorgeous. The condo we stayed at wasnt fantastic. My 1st complaint is that it states very clearly that the beach is a 6 min walk. Which it was, but if you're advertising that you're super close to the beach you would think they'd offer beach towels at a minimum. No beach towels, no beach chairs, no beach toys, or umbrellas. A crappy, moldy cooler was all that was offered. 2nd, let me talk about the roaches. I killed, on average, 4 a day. There was flying ants that got into the condo as well. My biggest complaint were the beds. I don't have a great back, but usually I'm ok when traveling. This time the bed was so uncomfortable that I barely slept the whole time I was there. I loved Kiawah Island and all the time we spent in Charleston but the condo wasnt as nice as we expected.
The perfect fit for 2 adults and three kids. I especially appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with a variety of pots, pans, colanders, etc.
Location was convenient. Furnishings were nice and Kiawah Island is lovely.
We had a great week in kiawah. Condo was nice and we enjoyed watching the alligators in the pond behind the complex as we ate breakfast.
