The house was absolutely clean and spotless, with new carpets and freshly painted walls. Beds were comfortable and the AC works well. Appliances all worked well. Location cannot be beat.
Location is fantastic and hard to beat. Cottage is in need of updates throughout.
The house was good, location was great, but we're unlikely to rent from Vacasa again due to the relentless harassing emails requesting a review be provided.
Close to the beach walk
Close to beach entrance.
The first impression of the property was underwhelming. The decor is tired and outdated, with few efforts to update or refresh it. The furnishings were a mismatched and worn ensemble. The pieces appeared to have been gathered haphazardly, with no thought given to cohesion or style. The décor and furnishings detract from the overall ambiance, and the home feels more like a budget rental than a resort destination. We have been visiting Kiawah, specifically the Oceanwoods area, for 30 years. This property is priced comparably to other Oceanwoods properties that are updated and modern, making this particular unit feel like poor value for the money. A few other specific comments: provided only 4 mismatched bath towels for 4 adults, a single kitchen towel, a slow running drain that was completely clogged by weeks end, TV in the primary bedroom that was the size of a small computer monitor, dresser drawers that are off track and don’t open/close properly, random unnecessary items (2 full size knife blocks using up limited countertop space, dusty artificial plants, a dozen coasters on surfaces that were clearly already water-damaged). Disappointing.
