Comfy Golf View Cottage with WiFi, a Shared Pool, Central AC, Private Washer/Dryer

Perfect location. Comfortable homey decor. We had a lovely relaxing long Labor Day break. The addition of new comfortable couches would make this location perfect!

Our stay at Treeloft Cottage 809 was rather disappointing. Upon arrival, we quickly noted that the home was not cleaned. When I say cleaned, it didn't appear to have been touched in weeks or months. The floors were covered in dirt, bugs, and other debris. As we had our baby granddaughter with us, we went immediately to trying to clean to give her the ability to roam. Upon cleaning the main floor in the living room and kitchen, we found so many dead bugs, cobwebs in every corner, and a mummified lizard underneath the couch. With this, we decided to dig a little further to understand what we needed to do to be comfortable. All rooms had to be swept. There were cobwebs all over the curtains, blinds, and corners of the rooms. We left the loft area with cobwebs in our hair. The balcony serving the primary bedroom was full of cobwebs and unusable. The toaster was removed from cobwebs as we swapped sides on the stove to make it more accessible. Eventually, we called Vacasa to request a thorough cleaning of the home, which they did promptly, and we are thankful for that. This shouldn't have been something we had to do. The property should have been prepared prior to our arrival. The kitchen is not suitable for a potential 6 guests. There was not enough glassware for everyone. There were hardly any methods of food storage. We had to go purchase salt, pepper, and oil and other basic cooking amenities. The kitchen was incredibly uncomfortable and only big enough for one person. It does not seem that the description of what is offered is clear. We may have either prepared differently or found another place to stay should we have known limitations. Couches were grimy and uncomfortable. The outdoor shower was either inoperable or shut off. There was no hose to utilize the spigot to clean off items once returning from the beach. The owners seem unaware of it's current condition. There are visible cracks throughout drywall, brown condensation staining all over the primary bedroom wall and what appears to be moisture damage over the kitchen. Overall, we were incredibly underwhelmed, and while we understand that there isn't such a thing as perfection, this was a huge miss. We would not recommend a rental property managed by Vacasa in the future and would most likely look elsewhere when considering Seabrook Island for our vacation stay. The house was very clean! It is a small house, especially the master bath and kitchen, best suited for a couple, no more than 4.

Nice place if wanting to be close to Kiawah or not planning to leave Seabrook/Kiawah

The pictures and descriptions that are online do not represent what you are renting. There is one less bed and the furniture is different. Cable is not included. The amenity card fee is $300, not $185. There were ants all over the kitchen the entire week, spiders, and roaches. Lasagna that spilled over the oven from a previous guest was all over the drawer of pans below the oven. It needs to be cleaned and taken care of. We were incredibly disappointed with our stay.

The location is ideal and it’s a good amount of space. However, the villa needs a good deep clean - it’s very dusty especially on the ceiling. There should also be some repairs and painting.
