Overview

Enjoy upscale coastal living in this gated La Jolla home, ideally located just one block from La Jolla Village and minutes from Windansea and Marine Street Beach. This peaceful retreat offers easy access to restaurants, cafés, and shops while comfortably hosting up to six guests. Inside, the home features a welcoming living area with leather seating and a flat-screen TV, plus a chef's kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a six-burner gas stove. A private back patio with a gas grill provides a great space for outdoor dining after the beach. All bedrooms are upstairs. The primary suite includes a king bed, cozy sunroom, and an ensuite bathroom with a jetted tub and shower. The second and third bedrooms each feature queen beds and share a full hallway bathroom. A half bath is located downstairs. Additional amenities include in-home laundry, free WiFi, and dog-friendly accommodations (up to 2 dogs).

Location to the Ocean and a number of restaurants within a few minutes walk. Higher end restaurants were only a 5 to 7 minute drive or a 20 to 25 minute walk.

Our stay at this home was disappointing due to several issues. Prior to checking in I emailed several basic questions (kitchen supplies, etc). Response was an automatic ' we will let you know' 12 hrs prior to check in. Specific questions I had weren't answered. The house showed major signs of wear, particularly in the small living room, which had a stained chair that detracted from the space. The carpet on the stairway and upstairs was old, worn, and visibly dirty, making the house feel neglected. Master bedroom sheets didn't fit. The kitchen lacked basic supplies like salt, pepper, or cooking oil, which was surprising given the size of the house and the price. Additionally, the laundry area had two empty detergent bottles, leaving us without essentials. On the positive side, the location was convenient, and parking was ample. However, the overall condition and lack of basic amenities made this stay far below expectations.
