Unfortunately I found this rental to be untenable. It's an ADU with very thin walls right next to a busy street, so road noise reverberates through the entire house beginning in the early hours of the morning. The listing said something about new windows to improve soundproofing, but they aren't effective whatsoever-- it woke me up dozens of times. On top of that, the bed is extremely uncomfortable and the pillows are about as thick as a folded t-shirt. We both had neck pain that lasted days after sleeping here 1 night. Parking was also really difficult-- there's another rental in the front and if someone is staying there with a large car, the squeeze into the garage is VERY tight and you have to maneuver around them backwards to get out. The location is nice but there are way too many negatives to make it worthwhile. It's hard to enjoy a beach vacation while exhausted, so we left and found somewhere else to stay after just one night. Overall, this was a very expensive mistake.

This home is located in an excellent location. It's about a 3-5 minute walk to the beach. Very convenient. La Jolla Cove is also just a mile or less awat (5 min drive). There is one parking spot and you must reverse out of the driveway to leave. The road is a busy street during the day so I recommend having someone who is comfortable reversing out of a driveway onto a busy street.
