Location was good, home was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Beware that the owner's grandson lives upstairs and "popped by" to check if we had Wi-Fi password which we had from Vacasa and mentioned his grandmother was the owner like 3 times. No stars docked but we felt like we were children being watched by a parent.

This house was great. It's walking distance from the beach and not far from shopping. They had everything you could need at this house. Look forward to staying there again

Most homes for rent are bare bones with cheap furniture, not this one! You really feel at home in this comfy place. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed at this property for 8 nights for a "workcation" in San Diego. The location is excellent in a quiet residential neighborhood, easily walkable to most parts of PB including the boardwalk, coffee houses, restaurants, and the beach. Easy drive to many local areas like La Jolla, Torrey Pines, Little Italy, Gaslamp, Coronado Island, etc. The unit is well equipped with everything you need and everything is in good condition (rare for a rental). Smart TVs, blackout blinds, a sleep number bed, and the two private patios were nice touches. Specific to our stay, docking one star because of Vacasa - we had a problem getting the heat to work for a few days. Vacasa took too long in my opinion to fix it and didn't provide space heaters in the interim. The lack of heat made the unit freezing at night and caused a humidity problem where the place smelled like mold and we had to launder all our clothes. Vacasa was also cheap with things like paper towels and toilet paper (think Dollar Tree quality). Specific to this unit, docking one star because there is a tenant upstairs and the soundproofing is poor. You can hear walking and talking and the resident tended to stay up until after midnight and be up in the morning around 6am, which made it difficult to get quality sleep. They weren't partying or anything - the noise just travels straight through. The units have metal storm doors and the tenant upstairs would let it slam, even when returning at late hours which we found inconsiderate. There is also a lack of privacy on the "private" patios because the tenant upstairs always left their windows open. We could clearly hear every word they were saying outside, which likely means the opposite applied. As a result, we spent much less time outside than planned. On the day we tried to launder our humidity soaked clothes (laundry is shared), we ran into one of the tenants who had just started their laundry which was fine. What was frustrating is they left their clothes in the dryer for 8 hours after the cycle finished. One other aspect specific to this unit that I found to be a little much was books on the coffee table that articulated extreme political views. Everyone has the right to their beliefs but putting this content on a rental coffee table seemed a bit tasteless. Overall, this is a well-maintained and well-equipped rental property in a great location, but we'll find a place that's more privacy and solace next time. We'd also probably opt for a property management company with a local customer-oriented presence.

Our stay at this rental was fantastic overall! The location was incredibly convenient, and the accommodations were exactly as described. While the minor hiccup with the entrance code caused some stress during our late check-in, it didn't overshadow the wonderful experience we had and would happily return in the future.
