Colony Reef Condo Ocean View Dream

Overall we liked this unit but a few things should be addressed: the a/c takes a while to cool down and doesn’t cool down the master very well. The bunk bed ladder should be repaired to make it more steady. Oven mitts are needed in the unit. The location is perfect and we loved the balcony to eat, sip coffee etc. The pool is beautiful and it’s a short balcony walk to the beach.

We loved our stay! The indoor pool was a plus on rainy days! Only downside I can think of is the pool closes at 9 instead of 10 like most places.

Beautiful view of the ocean with easy access to the beach. Pool was big and not too crowded. Condo was nice, but the layout was a bit weird. Kitchen got crowded easily with not great access to the washer. Master bathroom toilet is crooked and very close to the counter, and the mirror in the tub had a large crack. The numbers on the knobs for the stovetop were rubbed off which made using the stove difficult. All of the remote batteries were dead, so we had to buy new batteries. There were plenty of dishes. There were boogie boards and floaties which was nice. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing time here. This condo had a lot of extra amenities that was really nice. Lots of extras in the kitchen and things for out at the beach. We loved how we felt very secluded beaches and pool wasn’t crowded but still very close to activities. I would highly recommend this property.

The property grounds were fantastic and there were a ton of fun activities to do in the area. However, the condo unit itself was not exactly what we were expecting. The pictures posted on VRBO make it look much more up to date than it was. When we arrived the baseboards were dirty, the bathrooms were kind of gross (the master has a mirror in the shower with a major crack in it and the kids bath has a bunch of black gunk around the tub), the cabinets are very worn looking, the patio furniture is very faded, the beach chairs were covered in rust, the screen door going out to the patio was broken etc. We've rented from Vacasa before and had great experiences with those units, this one does NOT feel up to Vacasa's standards. We would definitely go back to St. Augustine/Butler Beach again, but would not rent this unit again.

The unit is a bit dated but everything was clean and there was plenty of room for our family of 3. Definitely had enough room for 3-4 more people if we wanted to. Kitchen is nicely stocked, I didnt use anything but saw an instant pot and crockpot if that is important to anyone. It was too cold to use the outdoor pool but having the hot tub and indoor pool was nice. There is also a sauna in the pool house which was nice to use. I would definitely stay here again, highly recommend.
