Beach Please

it was hard to find any great qualtities in this house. the cleanliness of this house I would rate a 0 if I could. The only thing it looked like had been done was changing linens. there was food under entertainment center in drawers in kitchen and splattered on backsplash by stove. we moved the couch to sweep and there was what looked like dried dog pee, two water bottles with someone tobacco dip in it, and lots and lots of dog hair. there was also alot of dog hair on floor around island and sink area. there was dust on just about every every peoce of furnicher besides kitchen and bathrooms. there's mildew growing on the vent above stove. and cob webs everywhere by kitchen stove and in corners and ceilings. the ceiling fan was dirty and dusty. I know only linens were changed because there was a stain on the comforter I was using and I almost got it out with just a warm wet washcloth.AND not to mention the sewer was overflowing when we would use alit of water like take a shower. overall the property could use a few updates including a finced in area since it's "dog friendly". there is no elevator like most beach houses in the area and the stairs are a little steep so carrying your luggage and food up and down the stairs is alott. not to mention the house swayed when inside it. when people would walk, even the littlest kid in my group would walk through the house you can feel the house swaying and see the lights above kitchen counter swaying.

Fridge has hair, soda all inside, dented and scratched and broke. Drawer and shelf, washer full of mold, mildew and pubes, couldn’t wash the biohazard bedspreads they don’t wash. No blankets in the house, asked to be moved to a clean home 3 times, local manger alerted, never contact me. Asked for a place to wash THEIR sheets and bedspreads so we can sleep there, no response. All photos were sent within first 20 minutes of check in, to much to write. The walls were so dirty, as in never wiped down in months and exploded brown soda streams down the walls in many places. The kitchen bar chair was torn, I sent photos. The couch was so full of sand and filth, we couldn’t sit down and relax the whole trip. Any dish I tried to use in the cabinets, had hardened crusty food stick to them. Of course I had to hand wash every kitchen item I needed to use. The kitchen drawers are full of hair and food crumbs, the cutlery drawer was so gross with hair and food, in each tray. Going to grab a spoon for my children, I saw how gross that was. Your cleaners can at least vacuum the cabinets monthly for filth as well as look at the dishes they out up for being dirty. All the kitchen cabinets needed wiped down, all sticky gross greasy matter on every handle and cabinet, and stove. The wood deck outside seemed to have had a lot of chocolate ice cream spilled all over and down all the stairs. Your cleaners can at least maybe take the hose and rinse off The filth for the next paying renter. The light switches and door jams were all filthy, as in haven’t been bleach wipes in months. All of these issues are regular cleaning issues, this houses cleaner only wipes surfaces hair, as well as all the baseboards, you can tell they were never vacuumed or wiped, for months. Its very peaceful and quiet.

We stayed at Beach Please—and honestly, the name felt a little too accurate. We kept finding ourselves saying “Beach, please!” every time something else stopped working. The garbage disposal was out, the dishwasher quit on us, and the BBQ grill? Completely rusted and begging for retirement. Pretty sure lighting it would’ve been more fireworks than Fourth of July. The location was great—close to shopping and everything you might need—but the number of issues made the stay more stressful than it should’ve been. With a few repairs and a new grill, Beach Please could be a solid getaway spot. But as it stands… we left with more eye rolls than tan lines.

I loved the porch and the house layout. The furnishings were very nice. Unfortunately, the house was not able to be locked with the key. It worked from the inside, but not the outside. Hopefully, that issue has been resolved.

Great house for girls trip.
