About

Believe it or not, there's more to Ripley than just the strange and hard-to-believe—there's also Ripley's Aquarium of Myrtle Beach!

Suppose you've been enjoying the ocean, but it's getting too hot. In that case, you're only a short walk away from immersing yourself in the teeming aquariums at Ripley's.

With more than two dozen exhibits and experiences, hundreds of fun and funky fish are awaiting you at Ripley's Aquarium!

There are two levels to Ripley's Aquarium, and they're both jam-packed with aquatic life! Upstairs, you'll find piranhas and poison dart frogs in the Amazon exhibit.

If you want a more hands-on experience, you can also pet the stingrays at the Friendship Flats exhibit!

Or perhaps surround yourself with thousands of jellyfish of all different types and sizes at Planet Jellies, where the backlighting and different display lights will dazzle you as the jellyfish dance! Upstairs is also where you'll find the aquarium's 21 penguins!

On the lower level, you'll discover Rainbow Rock, where the colorful fish of the Indo-Pacific swim—such as the Clownfish and the Regal Blue Tang!

If you're searching for thrills, look no further than Dangerous Reef, where the aquarium's sharks, eels, and tarpons stalk around you. The bottom floor is also where you'll meet Ripley Aquarium's two sloths, Rico and Cleo!

If you have to leave for any reason, don't worry! Your ticket is an all-day pass, meaning you can return anytime on the same day. Ripley's Aquarium is open seven days a week, from 9 am to 11 pm.

Fun Facts and Cool Features

Suppose visiting an aquarium while vacationing in Myrtle Beach excites your family. In that case, there are plenty of educational opportunities at Ripley's Aquarium.

The Junior Aquarist Camp will fill up an entire day and allow your kid to tour the Marine Science Research Center, have hands-on activities, and experience the sting rays! There's also the Full Steam Ahead Camp, which encourages your children to dive more into the science of aquatic life.

Another fun event and experience at Ripley's Aquarium is sleepovers! From 8 pm to 8 am, you and your group can sleep with the fish, be surrounded by sharks, or have a PJ party with the penguins.

For a unique date night idea, the Fin & Tonic events allow you and a date to enjoy fine cocktails, tapas, and petite desserts at the Aquarium!
