About

Seasonal farm-to-table cuisine in a historic setting awaits at 11th and Bay Southern Table.

The founders of this restaurant are Michael and Heather Harrell, who met while working for Outback Steakhouse. Their vision to create a restaurant where authentic, scratch-made cooking and guest-centric hospitality are the stars became a reality in 2014 when 11th and Bay Southern Table opened in a restored cotton warehouse. Nestled along the Chattahoochee River, it offers a relaxed and rustic atmosphere. Additionally, the couple's hands-on approach and years in the restaurant business have made 11th and Bay Southern Table one of Columbus' most sought-after dining spots.

Their dedication to a farm-to-table philosophy rooted in Southern-inspired cuisine is what put the restaurant on the proverbial map. Every dish is made fresh from scratch, elevating regional comfort foods into innovative culinary creations.

The couple has also branched out to manage the New York Butcher Shoppe & Wine Bar in Columbus. The venture exemplifies their restaurateur spirit of continual forward thinking.

Its location beside the Woodruff Riverfront Park puts you steps away from the Chattahoochee Riverwalk and RushSouth Whitewater Park. Such proximity makes it easy to add a meal after a day of adventure.

Add 11th and Bay Southern Table to your Georgia itinerary, and discover why it's a culinary hotspot!

Vibe

If the real estate saying "location, location, location" is true, then this restaurant is a gold mine! The restored warehouse with its weathered brick nods to Columbus' industrial past, setting the stage for a memorable meal.

Regarding the atmosphere, the restaurant's indoor sign sums it up the best: "Ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place, so this must be the place."

The open space masterfully blends the industrial character of the warehouse with a farmhouse decor. Picture exposed brick walls and ductwork, rustic wooden flooring, and industrial-style lights. The spacious room feels homey yet eccentric enough for special occasions.

Aside from the main dining area, the bar offers comfortable seating with flat-screen TVs, making it ideal for dining and catching a game. On pleasant evenings, the patio offers an al fresco experience, with a gentle breeze from the river.

No matter where you sit, the ambiance is suitable for any Columbus vacation.

11th and Bay Southern Table: Menu & Drinks

Because the menu fluctuates with the seasons and available ingredients, we'll focus on some standouts that appear regularly.

Nothing sets a Southern restaurant apart like biscuits, and they are the measuring stick of its mettle. Case in point are the table biscuits. While traditional biscuits are large, 11th and Bay Southern Table took a creative approach with their table biscuits. This starter features a bowl of petite biscuits that resemble muffins rather than the round, flatter versions. Add the Georgia Jams apple butter, and you're off to a flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth start!

Regarding the starters, they are diverse and could serve as tapas. A good example is the Shellfish and Sausage Stew. This hearty bowl features Sapelo clams, wild Georgia shrimp, and wild boar fennel sausage, cooked in a smoky tomato broth with lemon aioli, and comes with a grilled baguette.

A seasonal star, especially for seafood lovers, is the pan-seared red snapper. The fresh-caught fish is seared in a sherry cream sauce and comes with butter-braised potato coins and sauteed spinach. It's colorful, plentiful, and oh-so-delicious!

For those craving a hearty entree, the bone-in pork chop delivers. Charred on a wood-fired grill, this thick-cut arrives with turnip and celery root puree with butternut squash, Brussels sprouts, and apple mostarda.

The inventive bar program keeps pace with the cuisine. A prime example is the Pecan Smoked Old Fashioned. The drink features deep smoky notes that complement the bourbon, creating a complex beverage.

11th and Bay Southern Table will enhance any Columbus getaway. With its farm-to-table seasonal menu, historic setting, and exuberant Southern hospitality, a meal here will be the highlight of your vacation!
