While not walkable, the sights and sounds of mainland Sarasota are drivable, making it easy to combine sightseeing with a dinner at the Village. Another attractive feature is that the atmosphere changes throughout the day. In the morning, it's all about breakfast and coffee. After the beach, people come for lunch, and at night, music fills the air. You can visit twice in one day and have a completely different experience each time.
As mentioned, the Village is close to Siesta Beach, making it easy to enjoy the surf and then spend the evening on the boulevard. And since the free Siesta Key Breeze trolley runs between the Village and the south end of the island from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., you can park once, ride the trolley, and avoid searching for another parking spot.
