About

If you’ve ever dreamed of living on a ranch or just experiencing what it was like, make it a point to visit Eagle Ridge Ranch

It is a 2,000-acre paradise (that’s what the location calls itself and what I can attest it really is!) In fact, the ranch sits on Island Park and is surrounded by mountains and meadows.

And depending on when you visit, you’ll likely smell either the sweetness of the wildflowers in the area or the scent of the pine trees—at the same time, listening to the sound of a running stream nearby.

I have visited Eagle Ridge Ranch a couple of times. Here, you can spend some time riding horses, hiking, capturing beautiful photos with rolling hills in the background, and enjoying the natural elements, including the waterfowl, moose, and eagles. You can fish in one of the private ponds and spend some time soaking in a hot tub after a long day on the trails.

If I can give one recommendation, it is to do as many of the activities here as possible. I visited during the warmer months, and there are just tons to do.

We took a guided horseback ride around the ranch and discovered all there is to do. You can also fish, canoe, and enjoy the paddleboats in the lake. There are archery targets to use, clay pigeon throwing, lots of hikes, and so much more.

Eagle Ridge Ranch is definitely a place I like to come to when I want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life!

Fun Facts About Eagle Ridge Ranch

Yellowstone National Park is a short drive from Eagle Ridge Ranch, but if you want to skip all of the tourism and would rather spend more of your time outdoors exploring the natural beauty of the world, I suggest a trip to Eagle Ridge Ranch instead.

One of my favorite activities is fishing here. There are two options, including Henrys Lake and Sheridan. Both offer some great opportunities, though those who want a fly fishing experience will find Sheridan a better option (it’s more of a swamping, marsh-like experience). For boat fishing or just canoeing, Henrys Lake is an excellent choice.

The good news is you can get everything you need here. That includes life jackets, boats, canoes, and even fishing gear. If you come without planning in advance for what to do, they certainly make it easy enough for you to get set up to have some fun on the lake and around the area.

Getting There

The Ranch is located off Route 20. Take A-2 Clark County Road to Old Kilgore Road to get there. The ranch is right off Ranch Road.

Cost

Costs range widely based on what type of things you do. Please check their website for pricing and fees.
