About

With a nod to the Wild West days of Montana, Hellroaring Saloon & Eatery offers a unique dining experience.

Since the 80s, this beloved eatery has been serving delicious food and drinks and doesn't show signs of slowing down!

Settled at the base of Whitefish Mountain Resort, Hellroaring Saloon has been a mainstay for skiers and nature enthusiasts since it was founded in 1983. The restaurant opens and closes with the seasons, serving winters and summers as the crowds swell.

The name "Hellroaring" is a nod to the adventurous spirit of the Wild West, where rugged pioneers and fortune-seekers ventured into untamed territories.

But don't let the name scare you into thinking you'll witness bar-room brawls! The saloon may get rowdy, but it is very family-friendly.

Hellroaring Saloon & Eatery reflects Montana's frontier past, offering a warm, welcoming space with cold drinks and soul-satisfying grub.

Vibe

The vibe at Hellroaring Saloon & Eatery is quintessentially Montana. As you step inside, you'll be transported to a bygone era, with the decor and furnishings reminiscent of the late 19th century.

The saloon's wooden interiors, rustic accents, and vintage photographs create an atmosphere that immerses you in the history of the American West.

The lively and friendly ambiance makes it an ideal spot for gathering with friends, family, or fellow travelers. Whether seated at the bar, in a cozy booth, or on the outdoor patio, you'll feel the welcoming and communal Whitefish spirit that defines Montana hospitality.

Live music at Hellroaring Saloon & Eatery adds to the vibrant atmosphere. It's not uncommon to find local musicians entertaining patrons with country, folk, or bluegrass tunes, enhancing the overall experience.

Hellroaring Saloon & Eatery: Menu & Drinks

After a long day on the cold slopes, nothing satisfies more than a warm, delicious meal, and the folks at Hellroaring Saloon have been delivering just that to its diners for more than three decades now.

Sink your teeth into a Montana classic with the bison smash burger. Made with locally sourced bison meat and topped with Boursin cheese and truffle baby kale, it's a flavorful and hearty option that showcases the state's culinary heritage.

The grilled ribeye is a top choice for those craving a satisfying steak dinner. Cooked to perfection and served with whipped potatoes, asparagus, and a portobello duck demi, it's a carnivore's delight.

While there are plenty of options for hot drinks to keep you warm, you might want to try the Hellroaring Margarita as well! It's a refreshing, tangy concoction using local Spotted Bear Spirits and a housemade margarita mix.

Whether fresh off the slopes or dining with the family, adding a meal at Hellroaring Saloon & Eatery will add to your Montana experience.
