About

Mervis' Cafe is steeped in family history that spans over five decades. It all began in 1970 when Jose Martinez, with the support of his family, opened a general store in West Palm Beach named after his daughter, Mervis.

The family business soon expanded to include a deli, where innovative sandwiches and Cuban coffee were introduced, captivating the local community. Their Cuban Sandwich became a celebrated favorite, earning the accolade of 'Best Cuban Sandwich' by The Palm Beach Post's readers for several years.

In 2002, the Mervis' Grocery closed to facilitate the expansion of Southern Blvd. into an 8-lane highway. But a year before the closure, Mervis' Café and Grille opened at its current location. This new venture was not just a restaurant but a full-service United States Postal Service Contract Unit.

Today, Mervis' Café is operated by Ivel and Ivelisse Sierra, who grew up in family businesses and brought their extensive experience to the Cafe. The Cafe's operation and offerings show its commitment to the Treasure Coast community and its patrons.
