From the moment you arrive, Breckenridge Ski Resort unveils an atmosphere of adventure and excitement. 

Originally an 1800s mining town, Breckenridge has transformed into a world-class ski destination, attracting thousands of winter sports enthusiasts yearly.

The resort is in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and began its journey in the ski world on December 16, 1961. 

It started modestly with one Heron-Poma double chairlift that served limited terrain on Peak 8. It has matured into a vast landscape spanning five peaks (Peaks 6 through 10) and offering 2,908 acres of skiable area.

Breckenridge is committed to preserving its historical charm while evolving to meet the needs of modern skiers and snowboarders. The resort boasts 34 lifts, including state-of-the-art high-speed chairs and gondolas. 

With over 180 trails, Breckenridge Ski Resort caters to beginners, intermediates, and experts, from well-groomed runs to challenging moguls and adventurous high-alpine bowls.

One of the most intriguing features is the Imperial Express SuperChair, the highest chairlift in North America. It takes you to an incredible height of 12,840 feet, opening up a world of challenging terrains and breathtaking vistas. 

The resort also boasts five distinct peaks, each offering a unique skiing experience, from beginner-friendly slopes to adrenaline-pumping black runs.

Getting There

If you're in Summit County, Colorado, and planning to visit Breckenridge Ski Resort, follow this simple guide:

  • Start on CO-9 S.
  • Drive from CO-9 S to Breckenridge.
  • Use the 2nd from the left lane to turn slightly left onto N Park Avenue.
  • Continue straight onto S Park Avenue.
  • Turn right onto Village Rd.
  • Arrive at your destination: Breckenridge Ski Resort. 

Remember, it's best to have a four-wheel-drive vehicle or snow chains during the winter season for safety.

  • Adult Day Pass (ages 13-64): $110 to $130
  • Child Day Pass (ages 5-12): $75 to $95
