About

Just like the Lightner Museum, Flagler College was previously one of Henry Flagner's grand hotels. Today, this building is a 4-year, private university.

Opened in 1968, this college has nearly 3,000 undergraduate students attending. Though the campus is on the smaller side, it is world-class. Some of their current awards (2021-2022) include:

  • #4 on the Best Colleges in the Regional Colleges South
  • #1 in Best Undergraduate Teaching
  • #9 in Best Value Schools
  • #2 Most Innovative Schools

These awards are based on a number of factors. The scores were  calculated and distributed by U.S. News.

This college will easily be one of the most magnificent buildings you will see in St. Augustine. It maintains its original extravagant Spanish beauty with red tile, lots of greenery, and open spaces.

Whether you are a prospective student or simply a visitor, you will find that a walk through of this college is as beautiful as it is peaceful. Additionally, if you are a prospective student, there are daily tours offered from Monday-Friday. These tours are 2 hours in length and will provide you with a campus tour and all the info you'll need to make your decision.
