The fully stocked bait and tackle shop offers everything you'll need for a fun day of fishing or boating. Even if you forgot your tackle, the shop has the gear for beginners and seasoned anglers. 

Need a fishing license? You can grab one at the bait shop, saving you time going to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Office. 

Another fun fact about Jim's Pier is its direct accessibility to the Laguna Madre Bay. This proximity to the bay makes it an excellent spot for fishing, and it's not uncommon for anglers to catch Redfish, Flounder, and Speckled Trout. 

If fishing isn't your thing, Jim's Pier offers paddleboard and kayak rentals. It's also your go-to location for charters and fishing tournaments.

Also, the sunset views from Jim's Pier are picturesque and not to be missed. There's nothing like a sunset on South Padre Island, and Jim's Pier has one of the best viewing spots. 

Getting There

• Start from South Padre Island Blvd at South Padre Island.
• Head northwest on Padre Blvd toward Amberjack St.
• Keep right to stay on Padre Blvd.
• Turn left at the 1st cross street onto W Amberjack St.
• Turn right onto TX-100 W/Laguna Blvd.
• Continue to follow TX-100 W.
• Turn right onto TX-100 W/W Queen Isabella Blvd.
• Jim's Pier will be on the right.
