About
Located at the junction of the 331 bridge and Choctawhatchee Bay is Farm & Fire. Aside from waterfront views, this restaurant offers 30A diners an exceptional meal paired with spectacular bay sunsets.
Nationally recognized restaurateur Chef Jim Shirley is no stranger to the Panhandle's restaurant scene. With over two decades as a restaurateur, he opened Farm & Fire in November 2019, introducing Mediterranean flavors, Asian elements, and fresh Florida seafood. Because he works with area farmers, fishermen, and artisans, you're ensured the freshest ingredients.
The heart of the kitchen is the coal-burning oven that reaches temperatures topping 800 degrees. Such heat creates crisp, blistered pizza crusts and locks in the natural flavor of roasted meats.
Farm & Fire shares the same building as its sister restaurant, North Beach Social. The ground-level bistro opens onto the white crescent-shaped beach of Choctawhatchee Bay, making it ideal for toes-in-the-sand dining. Farm & Fire is on the second level, offering a more upscale menu and several dining areas, all with unencumbered water views.
What makes both restaurants ideal on a SoWal getaway is that they're family-friendly, serve superb cuisine, and offer waterfront dining away from bustling 30A.
Vibe
Whether you're crossing the 331 bridge southward or approaching north from HI 98, you can't miss this restaurant's tall white building.
With its expansive wrap-around windows, every seat in the eatery has an elevated view of the Choctawhatchee Bay. Also in plain sight is the beach, where children build castles and friends play cornhole. These images create a visually stimulating backdrop, especially at sunset.
The interior decor has a setting for every occasion. For a more intimate meal, choose the main dining room that faces the front door. The shabby-chic design and white linen-covered tables create an upscale yet laid-back vibe.
To the right of the entrance is the bar area, which includes several 2 and 4-top tables. Here, the mood is festive and light, perfect for friends reconnecting or even a romantic dinner.
The atmosphere is casual, laid-back, and stylish, making it a magnet for community hangouts, large families, and solo travelers on an Emerald Coast vacation.
Farm & Fire: Menu & Drinks
While the seasonal menu is limited, what it offers is top-notch and diverse, appealing to even your pickiest eater.
A prime example is the starters that showcase international flavors. The Korean Pork Bites are lightly fried and come with sweet-and-spicy Korean BBQ sauce and pickled jalapenos. The handmade meatballs are made with veal, pork, and beef and are covered in a homemade red sauce with shredded Parmesan cheese.
With the coal-fired oven, the pizzas are a must-try! You may choose one of the four 14" masterpieces or fashion your own creation with add-ons. Be sure to add the housemade hot honey for a bit of heat and sweetness. For an additional cost, make your pie with a vegan/gluten-sensitive crust.
Try the Gulf Grouper if you crave fresh seafood. The filet is blackened, pan-seared, or tempura-fried, giving it a crunchy exterior and a juicy, flaky interior. The Pork Ribeye is another hit, featuring two grilled pork cuts with a savory demi-glace. Both examples are à la carte, so consider adding a side like haricots verts (French-style green beans) with tomatoes, or loaded fingerling potatoes. These scrumptious gems feature butter, bacon, sour cream, and scallions, making them a comfort-food winner.
The bar menu features a creative mix of sake, wine, cocktails, beers, and THC/CBD spritzers. The creative cocktail Rosemary's Baby is a nod to 30A's popular destination, Rosemary Beach. This libation features Bombay dry gin, pamplamousse (grapefruit), Zirbenz pine liqueur, and rosemary.
With its fresh local seafood, authentic coal-fired pizzas, and creative cocktails, visit for yourself and discover why Farm & Fire is one of Santa Rosa Beach's top dining spots.
