About

The Trinidad Trading Co gift shop is a landmark in its own right. As one of the few businesses in the Trinidad community, it's a hot commodity for gifts. They are especially known for their craft jewelry items such as Abalone earrings and necklaces. The owner, Casey, opened the shop up in 1991. He also owns the popular Windansea shop just across the lot.

The shop carries a little bit of everything! They pride themselves in offering unique, eclectic gift items. In particular, they have special beads and craft shell.

Abalone Shell Jewelry & Beads

Abalones are any type of gastropod mollusks that live in saltwater, this includes oysters, mussels, and clams. It's a pretty rare and special material as it's considered the "crown jewel of the Pacific."
