About

Wine lovers and inquisitive travelers are drawn to the story of Moonstone Crossing Winery, where passion for winemaking and the Redwood Coast lifestyle meet in every bottle.

It was the brainchild of a couple of scientists who have since turned their hand to winemaking. Moonstone Crossing has built a strong reputation for hand-crafted wines that reflect the terroir of California's great grape-growing regions. Since it opened, it has been all about sourcing the very best grapes from the very best vineyards and then, of course, crafting and aging the wines on site.

The tasting room is in the middle of Trinidad, right next to the wild Pacific. It's a relaxed, friendly place to sample a range of varietals.

Moonstone Crossing's philosophy is patience and attention to detail, and it shows in wines that are rich, complex, and always memorable. There's something for everyone, making it a unique stop on any Redwood Coast getaway.

Moonstone Crossing Winery: Menu & Drinks

The tasting menu rotates but often features standouts like the bold, fruit-forward Zinfandel, known for its dark berry notes and rich finish. The Cabernet Sauvignon is another favorite, with balanced tannins and a touch of spice that pairs perfectly with hearty fare. For something lighter, try the Viognier—a crisp, aromatic white with hints of stone fruit and floral aromas.

Cheese plates and light snacks are available for purchase to complement your tasting, turning any visit into a leisurely afternoon. You can buy bottles, and the knowledgeable staff can help you choose the perfect one to take home or give as a gift.

Whether you’re sampling a flight or just stopping in for a glass, Moonstone Crossing Winery is a friendly, flavorful stop that highlights local wine culture.
