About

Local eats and home-style cooking come together to give you a wholesome dining experience at Cafe Phoenix. Open from Tuesday-Saturday for breakfast and brunch, it's a must visit when in town!

The Mission Behind Cafe Phoenix

Cafe Phoenix's mission is simple. To provide patrons with healthy, tasty, locally-sourced food. They take pride in sourcing as much of their ingredients and products as possible from local businesses. This includes their meat, dairy, produce, beer, and wine. You can bet that when you come to eat here, you're not only supporting this one local business but many others in the process. Besides, it can't get much fresher than food from source to table in the same county!

Location & Environment

Location is everything and Cafe Phoenix is central to all the action on G Street. When arriving, look for a blue cottage-style home with a Cafe Phoenix sign on the front. Once you go inside, you'll be surprised to find just how spacious this restaurant is.

A majority of their seating is found outside on their oversized patio turned dining room. There are a few tables inside, but most do prefer to take in the weather and surroundings of the outdoor seating. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming! From the friendly service to the cute decor, you'll feel right at home.

What's on the Menu at Cafe Phoenix:

The menu is expansive and full of all your favorites! Choose from hearty oatmeal bowls or stuffed burritos.

Favorites & Paninis

You can't go wrong with any of the items on this menu. Among their "Favorites" section, you'll find huevos rancheros, breakfast burrito, omelets, and a classic breakfast plate. We highly recommend their breakfast burrito!

The paninis come on fresh house-baked foccacia bread and come with a side. Our pick for this is the BLT/ALT. The BLT stands for the classic bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwich. Alternatively, the ALT substitutes bacon for avocado to make this dish meat-free. On this handheld, they add a creamy herb sauce that we can't get enough of! You'll see what we mean when you try it.

Beverages

In true cafe fashion, Cafe Phoenix has dozens of beverages to choose from. Some of our favorites live among the smoothie category. For a sweet, balanced option go with the Antioxidant Boost or the Big Wave. Or, if you want a health boost choose one of their "Total Wellness Drinks." This category has 4 mega-nutrient packed drinks. Further, they have wines, beer, champagne, juices, espresso, and more.

Gluten-Free & Vegan Options

This is one of the best places in Arcata for breakfast if you have dietary restrictions. Practically everything on their menu comes with gluten-free or vegan options. One of their bowls is literally called "The Vegan Option" and comes with potatoes, tofu, mushrooms, veggies, chimichurri, and avocado. Yum!
