About

If you're a nature lover and have dreamed of swimming with dolphins or getting close to tropical birds, now you can at Discovery Cove!

This day resort is operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment and opened on July 1, 2000. It provides an immersive marine experience connecting humans and the marine world, teeming with life, color, and excitement.

For those with a love for history, it's fascinating to learn that the resort was initially planned to be an extension of SeaWorld Orlando but was later developed as a standalone attraction, reaching out to the hearts of millions with its remarkable marine life and engaging experiences.

Despite being in the heart of a city known for its bustling theme parks, Discovery Cove offers a tranquil alternative. The resort has a limited admission policy, ensuring it never feels overcrowded. With its uncanny ability to mix leisure and adventure, history and modern comforts, Discovery Cove offers an unforgettable marine experience that leaves visitors yearning for more.

Fun Facts & Cool Features

One of Discovery Cove's most popular features is the Dolphin Lagoon, where visitors can swim and interact with bottlenose dolphins. It's an enchanting experience that leaves a lasting impression.

Adding to the diversity of marine life, the Grand Reef houses thousands of tropical fishes, from the tiniest seahorses to the graceful stingrays. It's a stunning spectacle where life under the sea unfolds before your eyes.

The Aviary is another highlight of Discovery Cove, hosting over 250 tropical birds. The unique design allows guests to feed and interact with the birds, making it a paradise for bird lovers.

And for thrill-seekers, the Wind-Away River offers a relaxing float through a scenic landscape that includes waterfalls, caves, and rainforest terrain. You'll swear you're miles away from Florida!

Visiting Discovery Cove presents a unique opportunity to intimately engage with a vibrant array of marine and bird life. The resort's spectacular features and experiences, commitment to conservation, and the memories it creates make it an essential part of any Orlando trip.
