About

Lake Tahoe is a playground for outdoor activities like running, hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing. Leading the charge for all things outdoors is Tahoe Cross-Country (Tahoe XC).

Managed by the Tahoe Cross-Country Ski Education Association (TCCSEA), Tahoe Cross-Country ensures world-class grooming for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, offering a haven for enthusiasts seeking self-powered recreation.

With a mission to provide accessible and affordable community ski programs, Tahoe XC has become a hub for skiers of all ages, fostering a sense of community and appreciation for the stunning natural surroundings.

The facility's commitment goes beyond recreation, delving into the cultural and historical significance of the land. Tahoe Cross-Country recognizes the deep roots in the ancestral territory of the wašiw, or Washoe, who have been stewards of this area for thousands of years.

This acknowledgment serves as a small but meaningful step in honoring the history, knowledge, and stewardship of the land by the Washoe people, acknowledging their enduring connection to the breathtaking terrain.

Tahoe XC also offers lessons, clinics, and rentals, making it an all-in-one outdoor shop. No matter the season or the outdoor discipline, Tahoe Cross-Country is your go-to for self-powered activities.
