About

After a day exploring the outdoor wonders of Oregon's North Coast, kick back at the Coaster Theatre Playhouse for a night of entertainment.

Since its inception in 1972, this playhouse has offered enchanting performances and fostered community spirit and appreciation for the arts.

The building initially served as a roller skating rink in the 1920s before transforming into the beloved performance hall cherished today. Maurie Clark, a local resident with a deep-rooted love for the arts and Cannon Beach, was the visionary behind this transformation. He dreamed of creating a space where stories could come alive, and guests would make unforgettable memories.

Coaster Theatre Playhouse's location on famed Hemlock Street makes combining a trip to the Cannon Beach Gallery with a live show convenient. After a performance, grab ice cream at Suzy's Scoops or dine at any of the fantastic eateries on the street.

Over the years, Coaster Theatre Playhouse has showcased many productions, from Shakespearean dramas to modern musicals and everything in between.

It has become a place where talent shines, from seasoned actors to emerging playwrights, all finding a platform to share their passion for the performing arts.
