About

When planning a trip to Oregon's North Coast, add Bistro in Cannon Beach to your dining list. Located on the north end of Hemlock Street, this cozy corner charms guests with delicious food and drinks, live music, and great company. It’s the perfect finale to an afternoon of walking along the tidal pools surrounding Haystack Rock.

An unassuming brick walkway leads into this popular hangout. Bistro offers intimate dining spaces on the patio and inviting tables inside. You can also grab a seat at the bar. Don’t miss the colorful patio blooms come spring and summer. Dining under the twinkling patio lights is superb for a special night out!

Owner/chef Jack Stevenson has been at the helm of Bistro since 2016, showcasing fusion cuisine and homemade breads that give a nod to the seasons and ingredients of the Pacific Rim.

Chef Jack’s culinary artistry is renowned among locals. His delectable dishes keep their straightforward appeal for regulars and tourists. This underscores the eatery’s principal motto of “food without confusion.” Chef Jack often makes his way into the dining room to chat with patrons, adding to the overall warmth of the experience.

Vibe

The ambiance at Bistro wraps you in comfort and anticipation from the moment hostess JJ catches your eye. The inviting walkway ushers you into the cozy bar area or a spot along the windows. Each table glows under the hue of candlelight.

The atmosphere at Bistro is relaxed yet benignly elegant. Live guitar music plays Wednesday through Sunday, adding to the relaxing mood for a romantic evening. It’s also a premier vacation destination for families and friends or a cherished weekend with the gals.

Adding to the charm is that Bistro is pet-friendly. Come summer, it has a menu of fresh meals for the pups, with service on the patio.

With its laid-back vibe, welcoming atmosphere, and proximity to Hemlock Street attractions like Jeffrey Hull Gallery, Bistro is a popular destination.

Bistro: Menu & Drinks

Each plate at Bistro is an artistic adventure featuring flavors of the Pacific Northwest and Asian fusion. Delicious dishes are complemented by a refined selection of wine and beer and a variety of unique cocktails.

There are wheat-free, vegetarian, and vegan options, as well as fresh seafood dishes. Offerings also include dishes with USDA-certified prime beef.

The seafood dishes at Bistro include Dungeness crab cakes, steamed Washington Willapa Bay Clams, and the self-proclaimed unusual and decadent clam chowder. Asian flavors shine on the menu, with Vietnamese-style chicken and Japanese-style konbu broth for its cioppino, among others.

In a nod to Bistro’s history, Chef Jack has kept the scrumptious hand-made linguine on the menu. This iconic entree is one of the more popular dishes at Bistro. Plus, it is also a vegan favorite!

The artistry at Bistro doesn’t stop with the delicious meals. Their in-house mixologist continuously crafts unique cocktails for Happy Hour. Those in the know love eating at the bar, where, truth be told, you may discover a special menu.

Chef Jack makes all desserts in-house and his culinary touch is prominent on the menu. There’s the cheesecake flavor of the moment and a chef’s inspirational flavor house churned ice cream.
