Located in a small strip mall beside a gas station, it would be easy to assume this eatery is another cookie-cutter Mexican joint. Trust us, it's not! 

While the facade lacks the typical pizazz of other Mexican restaurants, the contemporary neon blue sign sizzles and is your first clue that something unique is cooking inside. 

This hip theme continues indoors with wooden tables, tiled floors, and an open concept that makes for a cheerful setting. The colorful abstract face mural on one wall transcends the Latin art of other cantinas, once more hinting at the modern cuisine prepared in the kitchen.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a casual yet stylish ambiance. The recessed lighting and ceiling fan provide a comfortable dining experience, while the bar invites casual or solo diners. 

The overall vibe is one of creativity and warmth, reflecting the restaurant's modern take on Mexican cuisine.

While you enjoy the complimentary chips and salsa, order some freshly made guacamole to kickstart your dining experience. 

It features avocado, onion, tomatoes, cilantro, jalapeño, and lime. If you're afraid the jalapeño heat is too much, rest assured that the citrus tempers it well. 

The grilled entrees are showstoppers, showcasing tender and juicy cuts of steak, carnitas, and chicken. Combine with the made-from-scratch Mole and other Latin-inspired sauces, and your taste buds will dance with delight.

Of course, tacos abound on the menu, with the Piglet being a tip of the hat to Southern fare. This savory handheld features crispy pork belly with salsa negra and lime-garlic cabbage. The roasted pineapple salsa unites the pork's saltiness and the citrus-infused cabbage into a powerhouse of flavor. 

The Rocket City is an ode to Huntsville's well-earned nickname. It features grilled steak, cotija cheese, chili aioli, guacamole, and pickled red onion. It's an out-of-this-world taste experience.

Of note are the corn tortillas made in-house with fresh masa, making for the ultimate street or traditional taco. While flour tortillas are available, keep in mind that they aren't freshly made.
