About

If you’ve heard of Hydrate in Georgetown, Texas, then you might know it as a smoothie and juice bar. In fact, that’s why I went.

Come to find out; they are now a juice bar with cocktails! Making this the perfect place to enjoy day or night.

Located right off of Georgetown Square, it’s an easy stop no matter where you are off to during your vacation adventures.

And if you’re into history, the building itself is quite interesting. I saw a historical marker on it that mentioned Schaeffers Saddlery while visiting. I took the time to do a bit of research and found that this was the first county courthouse used in 1848. That’s pretty interesting!

As for Hydrate, it was once known as H2O To Go and, as such, served the community for over 30 years. In 2013, Dr. Sitzmann purchased the property and wanted to improve the quality of the foods being served.

I think they did a pretty great job of that with all their improvements! I absolutely loved the concept of juice, smoothies, and cocktails.

Hydrate: Menu & Drinks

Hydrate offers some incredible and unique menu options. But if you’re looking for smoothies, this cute spot has some fantastic options.

For example, if you’re looking for protein and a fun flavor, I recommend going for the Funky Monkey with peanut butter, cacao, honey, banana, and almond milk. I also like the Berry Blast with its mixed berries and apple juice.

Or, if you’re wanting to juice it up, I think the best is the Ginger Zinger. It’s potent and will create a kick, thanks to the fresh ginger, carrot, turmeric, and lemon. It definitely puts a bit of pep in my step.

And if lunch is your meal, my favorite option is the Mona Lisa, which is a freshly made sandwich featuring roasted chicken, Havarti dill, roasted red peppers, a deli dressing, and spinach and comes on a grilled focaccia bun. They also offer some great avocado toast here!

Just about anything on the menu is great because they make it fresh when you order it.

I have found that the Smokehouse Griller, which has habanero ham and mesquite smoked turkey with chipotle gouda, is a great choice to take home for dinner when I want something more filling. It is so rich in flavor that it is easily a meal you could eat for two meals.

Whether you want juice, smoothies, sandwiches, or more, Hydrate in Highland Lakes, Texas, has got you covered!
