About

A hop and a skip from the Vegas Strip is the Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa and Casino, nicknamed GVR. The Nevada resort and casino offer an off-the-strip experience where luxury, amenities, and relaxation work harmoniously.

With its European-inspired aesthetics, Green Valley Ranch amenities include fine and casual dining, six lounges and bars, a salon, a casino, and pools. As its name implies, GVR has one of the best upscale spas in Las Vegas, where you can be pampered and relax.

Green Valley Ranch Resort offers various room options like deluxe packages, suites, villas, and penthouses. This Las Vegas resort and casino can also accommodate business meetings, weddings, and special events. And their Production Services can whip up eye-catching videos or staging and lighting for a once-in-a-lifetime event.

If you're looking for a top-rated casino in Nevada, look to Green Valley Ranch Spa. The spacious gaming rooms feature bingo, keno, slots, table games, and more.

The gem of Green Valley Ranch Casino is the pool set in a lush eight-acre backyard. The Pond, an adult-only Green Valley Ranch pool, is perfect for relaxing in a cabana or savoring poolside drinks and meals.

This luxury resort in Las Vegas also has a movie theater, hosts concerts, a fitness center, and kid-friendly fun at Kids Quest. With The District's outdoor shopping and dining experience within walking distance, it's no wonder GVR is a top Las Vegas vacation destination.

Fun Facts & Cool Features

I'd heard about a luxury resort in Las Vegas that is, well, not in Las Vegas. I learned the Henderson resort is called GVR, which is short for Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino.

I searched their website and decided to "go big" by reserving one of their Green Valley Ranch suites.

GVR is right off the highway, so I worried the traffic noise would be atrocious. Thankfully, plenty of mature trees blocked the view and noise.

I loved the resort's Mediterranean-styled architecture, complete with a tiled roof. Entering the lobby, the light wall colors, open ceilings, and dark wood accents added warmth to the room's luxuriousness.

Another concern I had was the occasional online reviews comparing GVR to a Motel 6. I entered my suite and was relieved. Yes, there was some wear and tear, but I expected as much from a 20-year-old hotel. The bottom line, my room was in good shape and was clean.

I headed to the sprawling casino and tried my hand at blackjack. My only complaint about the casino is that smoking is allowed in designated areas, but the pungent smell spreads throughout.

Needing some fresh air, I headed outside to The District, that's within walking distance. This charming area hosts top-notch stores, restaurants, and other boutiques. Getting hungry, I returned and ate at one of the Green Valley Ranch restaurants.

While not the cheapest resort in the area, I recommend staying at GVR. You'll get a Vegas-style vacation that's more laid back than on the strip.
