Established in 1990 as a centennial gift from Boise City to the State of Idaho, MK Nature Center - Idaho Fish and Game is a 4.6-acre wildlife haven adjacent to the Idaho Fish and Game State Office. 

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game proudly owns and operates the attraction, becoming a distinguished destination in the Treasure Valley. It's a sanctuary where education, wildlife viewing, and immersive experiences converge, making it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and families​​.

Here's how you can get to MK Nature Center - Idaho Fish and Game from Boise City: 

  • Head southeast on Fairview Ave/W Main St toward N 6th St.
  • Follow Fairview Ave for approximately 0.6 miles.
  • Fairview Ave turns slightly right and becomes E Warm Springs Ave. Continue for another 0.6 miles on E Warm Springs Ave.
  • Make a right turn onto S Walnut St and proceed for about 0.4 miles.
  • Finally, turn left to arrive at your MK Nature Center destination.

Cost

The MK Nature Center offers free admission, making it a budget-friendly destination for all visitors. Donations are welcome to support ongoing projects​​​​. Here are the costs for specialized programs: 

StreamWalk Program 

  • $2.00 per student and parent, with teachers admitted free. 

Specialized Programs 

  • $2.50 per student and parent.
