About
Brass Hall packs the wallop of a Texas-size roadhouse into a smaller yet intimate environment. Conveniently located in downtown Marble Falls and a little over an hour's drive from Austin, Brass Hall is easy to find with their street marquee and glowing "Live Music" neon sign.
While the name "Brass Hall" and their icon of a bluesman playing a trombone conjure images of New Orleans, the club has deep Texas roots. Nestled in this landmark location is a small stage set in the corner. Performing in this venue is a variety of musical acts ranging from country, hip-hop, rock, blues, and various tribute bands. If you're lucky, an Elvis impersonator may be scheduled to perform!
A DJ cranks out the tunes well into the night when musicians and bands aren't performing. The Brass Hall is open from 2 PM-2 AM which isn't exactly child conducive. However, the club also offers special events that are more family-friendly.
Vibe
As the saying goes, good things come in small packages. The same can be said of Brass Hall. While this live music venue is not particularly child-friendly at all hours, it is a safe space where fans of live music can converge for a fun evening of songs and drinks.
Set in the back, away from the stage, are several pool tables close enough to the bar to grab a drink between shots.
While the Brass Hall may be lumped into the Texas roadhouse category, it's several steps above the sawdust-covered floors and rough atmosphere of other honky-tonks. The staff and management have gone out of their way to create a vibe that attracts various customers and music lovers.
Examples of their uniqueness that indeed CAN be family-friendly are crawfish boils, trivia nights, and hosting celebratory events like Cinco de Mayo. Pinball and other arcade games are in the hallway behind the billiard tables giving patrons another entertainment opportunity.
Similarly, Brass Hall offers souvenirs like T-shirts and ball caps featuring a Crown Royal theme. Or check out insulated tumblers featuring their iconic logo, perfect for cold or hot drinks.
One thing you’ll appreciate about Brass Hall is how they’ve added sound baffling to the ceiling. Attention to such detail helps deaden the sound that typically bounces around similar rooms. Listening to music here is an enjoyable experience for the whole crew.
The dance floor might be too small for line dancing, but it is big enough for couples to sway to the beat. Of course, some nights when a musical act performs, patrons fill the floor to get as close to the action and the stars as possible.
If you need to cool down or find a quieter space to chat, head out to the outdoor seating to reconnect with friends and recharge.
