About
A brewpub with a story tastes better, and this one has plenty to sip on. From its flagship historic site in Santa Fe, Nuckolls Brewing Co. also has taprooms in Angel Fire and Lamy.
Nuckolls Brewing Co. made its mark in Angel Fire in the summer of 2025, in what had been the brewery for Enchanted Circle Brewing. Enchanted Circle, a craft microbrewery, had operated in the area from 2016 through its transition to Nuckolls. Along with exciting local beers, Nuckolls provides light bites and fan favorites from Santa Fe including a Wagyu smash burger, Bavarian pretzels, and a California veggie sandwich.
Bill Banowsky founded Nuckolls Brewing Co. in Santa Fe’s Railyard District in 2023. The original structure of the brewery had begun life over a century before as a meatpacking refrigeration facility for the Nuckolls Packing Co. Built with thick concrete walls and cork insulation to keep products cold, over the years the building wore many hats. This included a stint tied to the Santa Fe Southern Railway, with rail access that made receiving deliveries easy and still shapes the character of the space today.
The brewery also puts real effort into sustainability, repurposing materials throughout the property and donating spent grain to local ranchers. It’s the kind of place where the details matter, from the build-out to what’s in your glass, and that care carries over to their Angel Fire, NM location.
Vibe
The Angel Fire outpost of Nuckolls Brewing Co. keeps that bold Western-brewery personality, with a clean, modern logo and a welcoming, easy-to-spot exterior. Inside suggests a mix of industrial touches and warm, hangout-ready comfort, the sort of room that works for après-ski groups, families grabbing dinner, or friends comparing tasting notes.
Seating is set up for flexibility. You can tuck into a table for a full meal or keep it casual with a quick round and snacks. If you’re traveling with a dog, the FAQ notes pups are allowed in outdoor areas as long as they’re leashed and well-behaved, which is a big win on a mountain vacation.
Overall, expect upbeat, social energy, the kind of place where you can hear laughter from the next table and nobody rushes you through that last sip.
Nuckolls Brewing Co.: Menu & Drinks
If you want the safest “everyone’s happy” starter, the warm pretzel hits the spot, especially with the choice of house queso or mustard. For something messier in the best way, the Frito pie brings New Mexico comfort food vibes with house-made chili, cheese, onions, sour cream, and pickled jalapeños.
A stop into Nuckolls is worth it on an Angel Fire, NM vacation because it’s an easy, satisfying stop: solid pub food, rotating taps, and a relaxed atmosphere that fits right in after a day on the mountain.
