Vacation rentals in Palm Springs also range in size from luxury condos to sprawling vacation villas that can comfortably fit several families. Our favorite money-saving travel hack: many families will plan their travel together so they can pitch in on a single luxury home. When going this route, many families have been able to experience larger luxury properties with more included amenities, all while the total bill often ends up costing less per person than it would on a single-family vacation, it's a win-win. A two-bedroom condo during the off-season, for example, may cost $175 a night. But that same condo during the high season could be $300-plus. Prices can really escalate -- sometimes doubling -- during special events, such as Coachella. Another example -- a five-bedroom villa with a private pool will typically start at about $500 a night during the low season and might be $1,000 or more a night during peak rental times.
