Main Schneckchen Hutte, "Little Snail Cottage" is only 6 blocks from Main Street. It is a 1910 Victorian home that was originally restored in 1995 and has had many fresh new updates. "My Little Snail" is a common term of endearment used in Germany. This rental property is perfect for traveling couples or small families. Simply decorated, this house comfortably sleeps 7. From the moment you walk in, you feel the warmth and charm. There is a main house plus an upstairs back apartment with a separate entrance. The main house has one bedroom, a sleeper sofa in the living area, a full kitchen, full bath and separate dining room. The master bedroom is a quiet retreat with a custom made queen sized wrought iron bed. The bathroom has a large, modern, walk-in shower. The spacious kitchen has an island with counter stools for casual dining. It is stocked with plenty of cups, glasses, dishes and cutlery. For those who prefer to cook, we offer a Jenn Air cooking stove, a convection oven and the necessary pots, pans and utensils. A coffee pot, tea kettle and microwave are also available. The bright and delightful dining room is perfect for entertaining. The upstairs back house has a queen bed and two trundle beds that can accommodate four. Enjoy a quiet evening outside while sitting under the beautiful, large pecan trees. The backyard features a greenhouse converted to a wine room and plenty of exterior seating. There is an outdoor table with four chairs on the back porch and the greenhouse is lit with patio lights for relaxing with a glass of wine before or after dinner. The front porch offers a space to sit, relax, read a book, or listen to the birds.
