We want to make your stay as easy as possible, so we have put together some great travel tips for your time in Santa Barbara.

Getting there:

There are lots of options for traveling to Santa Barbara. You can easily fly directly into Santa Barbara. This beautiful airport has flights to the nearest hub airports. The airport also provides a shuttle directly into the city. There are also train routes that can take you to and from the city in style. If you decide to drive into the city, take the scenic Highway 101. Experience California’s beautiful coastline!

Getting Around:

Driving in Santa Barbara can be a pain! Go car free! The City of Santa Barbara has a fantastic bus route that can get you almost anywhere in the city. You can pay fare as you board the bus or use a pre-paid card. If the bus isn’t your style, take a trolley! The trolley provides transport to the main tourist destinations, and your pass lasts two days. If you want a more active option, you can rent a bike to explore one of the most bike friendly cities. Uber and Lyft are also readily available as well as local taxi companies.

Santa Barbara is a very welcoming community! Santa Barbara welcomes families of all backgrounds to come experience their beautiful attractions. They also welcome the family pets to come along on the trip. Pet-friendly beaches and trails are everywhere! The people of Santa Barbara love their city and all it has to offer. Don’t be afraid to ask the locals for suggestions! You can find some great local spots and make some new friends in the process!

Things to be Aware of:

Santa Barbara has fantastic weather. However, the 300+ sunny days can pose a threat for sunburn! Make sure to apply sunscreen and wear sunglasses or a hat when you are out exploring the beautiful city. When visiting the beach, make sure to follow all warnings and precautions before entering the water.
