How Summit Bike Share Rental Works & Pricing

The Summit Bike Share system works in 4 simple steps:

1. Join the app and create an account.
2. Unlock a bike using the app or tap your fob/membership card on the bike handlebars.
3. Enjoy your safe ride!
4. Return your bike to a designated station.

It's simple, efficient, and the perfect way to explore the city! Through the app, you're able to see all kinds of information including bike locations, battery life of the bike, and your rides mapped. You can also use the app to report a defective bike or contact Summit Bike Share for help.

Bike Share Pricing

The cost of renting is $3.50 (+ applicable taxes) per 30 minute ride. If you plan to use the bike for longer than a half hour, the cost is $0.18/every minute more. You can use a single account to unlock up to 4 bikes at a time. It's important to note that each individual bike will cost $3.50 per ride plus additional taxes or fees, even though the account is the same. Note: A $35 hold will be placed on your card during the ride; however, it will be released once the bike is returned.

When you're finished with your ride, you must return the bike to a Summit Bike Share docking station. Otherwise, it will cost $50/bike as a recovery fee. These bikes are expensive due to their advanced technology so it's very important you follow return directions. If the bike is missing for over 24 hours, your account will be charged the replacement cost of the bike, which is $2,000 USD.

There are plenty of conveniently located docking stations throughout Park City! Renting a bike has not been easier. The easiest way to find a station is by downloading the app and creating an account first. Using the app, you'll be able to use their map to see where to find bikes and ensure that the station you visit has fully charged bikes. Look for their large sign with a map and bikes with green accents and baskets.
