About

Canyons Golf Course in Park City Mountain Resort, surrounded by breathtaking mountain vistas. This is a public, 18-hole golf course with a private golf course vibe. The course was designed by Gene Bates and opened to the public in 2015. Gene Bates, of course, is a renowned golf course architect with more than 25 years of experience. He’s designed golf courses in Washington, Idaho, Virginia, California and more.

One of the most unique features about Canyons Golf Course is its gorgeous setting. It is surrounded by the Uinta mountain range and the Wasatch mountain range. Quite frankly, it’s just a beautiful place to be on a sunny Utah day.

Situated in the middle of Canyons Resort, this golf course attracts both seasoned players and those who are new to the game. Interestingly, six of the eighteen holes are intermingled with terrain that is skiable for cross-country skiing.

A day out on this course needs to include sunblock and adequate sunwear. Bring your golfing hat and apparel. Consider bringing a wind breaker, because at this higher elevation, it can be breezy. The rolling hills and changing elevations mean that you will be glad that you rented a golf cart.

The picturesque setting of this golf course will inspire you to take  pictures, so be sure to bring your camera phone and a smile!

Notably, the 10th hole has a challenging 297-foot change in elevation from the tee-off to the hole. See what you can manage!

The contours of the layout are dotted with bunkers, strategically positioned to blend in with the terrain. Water hazards are located here and there along the course. We will let them be a surprise for you!
